Description
Hazelnut Oil is a Refined Vegetable Oil from hazelnuts which are unusually high in oil; between 50% and 65% of the hazelnut weight. Hazelnut Oil is a limpid, pale yellow oily liquid, delicate in flavor and scent, with a slightly nutty quality. This oil contains about 75% Oleic acid and 20% Linoleic acid (Omega6). A recent paper showed that Hazelnut Oil has phospholipids that give greater and longer-lasting moisturizing potential to cosmetic emulsions1. Hazelnut Oil also contains natural vitamins E, and B and some minerals. Vitamin E protects the cells from attacks by free radicals by neutralizing them. Vitamin E also helps in the reduction of scarring from wounds and in the appearance of stretch marks on the skin. Hazelnut Oil is highly hydrating and nourishing due to its Omega 6 content.
