The dominant use case for K2 MK-7. Lipid-carrier MK-7 fills cleanly into softgel and tablet matrices.
- Softgel capsules (oil fill)
- Bone-and-cardiovascular K2 stacks
- Vitamin K2 + D3 combinations
- Multivitamin oil phases
The longest-half-life K2 vitamer, pre-dispersed in a coconut-derived MCT carrier. Fat-soluble menaquinone-7 doesn't mix with water — it needs a lipid system to be formulated, dosed, and absorbed. Kraft Chemical pairs MK-7 with coconut MCT oil, drawing on our established MCT line, so supplement and functional-food formulators can drop a finished K2 premix straight into their batch.
Vitamin K2 MK-7 (menaquinone-7) is the menaquinone with the longest aliphatic side chain at seven prenyl units — the structural feature that gives it the longest serum half-life of any K2 vitamer (~3 days) and makes it the form most studied in modern bone- and cardiovascular-health research.
MK-7 is strongly lipophilic and practically insoluble in water. To formulate it into a supplement, gummy, beverage, or fortified food, it has to be carried in a lipid matrix. Coconut-derived medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil is the standard carrier — it solubilizes MK-7 cleanly, helps protect it from oxidation, and supports the bioavailability that makes K2 worth supplementing in the first place.
Kraft Chemical already distributes MCT to U.S. food, supplement, and personal-care manufacturers. Adding MK-7-in-MCT premixes is a natural extension of that capability: the carrier is something we already source and qualify; what we layer on is the K2 active, the dispersion, and the documentation package that supplement formulators need to drop the ingredient into a regulated finished product.
Specific potency targets, MCT grade (refined vs unrefined coconut), and pack format are configured to the formulator's spec. Pricing, MOQ, lead time, and country-of-origin details are available on request through our sales desk.

MK-7 has the longest serum half-life of any vitamin K vitamer — roughly three days, versus about 1.5 hours for MK-4. That translates into more stable steady-state K2 status at lower daily doses, which is why MK-7 has become the dominant K2 form in supplement formulations.
Medium-chain triglycerides from coconut — predominantly caprylic (C8) and capric (C10) fatty acids — solubilize MK-7 fully and help protect the active from oxidative loss. The carrier itself is a recognized functional ingredient, not an inert diluent.
Kraft Chemical has supplied U.S. manufacturers since 1935 with the documentation, certification, and lot-control practices an FDA-regulated supplement, gummy, or functional-food program needs. COA, specification sheet, and allergen statement available on request.
Once MK-7 is already in a stable lipid carrier, it slots into the dosage forms supplement and functional-food formulators are already running — softgels, gummies, emulsified beverages, fortified fats, animal nutrition premixes.
